I am starting to see butterflies in decent numbers this year, which is pleasing after last year being so bad for them. Assuming my identification is correct this one is a quite rare Silver Studded Blue.
A very windy day made photography very challenging, he literally didn’t stop for more than a few seconds and even then the grass was moving around so much I couldn’t get technical with the shot. Just had a spray and pray!

This second image is a stack of two shots to get slightly more of his wing patter in focus. Must remember to go back when it’s not so windy.
